Who operates GoPakd
GoPakd is developed by Olanrewaju Oyinbooke. This policy explains the app and its support website. GoPakd does not operate a developer-hosted database of your trips or a hosted AI inference service.
Your plans and iCloud
Trips, packing lists, itineraries, meals, groceries, conversations, saved preferences and memories, templates, and profile information are stored on your device. When iCloud is available, the app synchronizes its records through your Apple iCloud account using CloudKit. This means the app is not entirely offline. Your display name, optional email and profile photo may appear to members of trips you share. Shared trip content is available to the people you invite, according to their access permissions. Apple operates iCloud under its own privacy terms.
On-device AI
AI inference runs locally using Apple Foundation Models or a compatible downloaded model through MLX. GoPakd does not send your conversation to a hosted AI model provider for inference. Conversations and memories saved by the app may synchronize through your private iCloud database. Apple Intelligence availability depends on your device, language and settings. Downloaded models need compatible hardware, memory and storage.
Model downloads and optional search
Downloading model files connects to Hugging Face and its delivery infrastructure. The provider receives ordinary network request information, such as an IP address and the requested model files. Importing an existing local model folder does not require a model download. Web search is disabled until you enter your own Brave Search API key. When enabled, query text is sent directly to Brave with your key. Queries may contain destinations or other details from your request. The key is kept in the device Keychain. Brave states that search query records may be retained for up to 90 days for billing and troubleshooting, subject to legal obligations. Brave and Hugging Face operate under their respective privacy policies.
Location, weather, calendars and voice
Location is optional. With permission, the app uses device location for relevant planning context, Apple geocoding, and Apple WeatherKit. Looking up destination weather can send the destination or its coordinates to Apple. Calendar access is optional and uses the device calendar; imported calendar records can be stored in the private iCloud database. Review the app’s calendar visibility controls before sharing a trip. Microphone and speech permissions are requested for voice input. Version 1.0.0 build 4 requires on-device speech recognition and offers typed input when local recognition is unavailable. Earlier build 3 could use Apple’s speech service as a fallback. Revoking these permissions in iOS Settings disables the corresponding optional feature.
Diagnostics, payments and tracking
The reviewed app includes no advertising SDK or third-party behavior-tracking SDK. Agent performance counters are stored locally in UserDefaults. Apple may provide crash or diagnostic information according to your Apple sharing settings. If an in-app purchase is offered and you choose to buy it, Apple processes payment; GoPakd does not receive your payment card details. The app stores subscription entitlement information locally and with the profile in iCloud.
Your choices and deletion
You can edit your profile, delete trips and conversations, clear saved memories, remove a Brave key, and manage downloaded models in the app. Deleting shared content can affect other trip members. The profile’s delete-data action removes app records and propagates deletions through iCloud when connected. Removing the app alone does not necessarily remove iCloud records or model files in an external folder. Manage iCloud storage and device backups in Apple Settings. You can revoke location, calendar, microphone and speech access in iOS Settings. Backups and copies kept by people with whom you shared content follow their own retention settings.
Support and this website
If you contact the developer, the information you choose to send is used to respond to your request. Avoid including private trip details, API keys or unnecessary personal information. This website uses Vercel hosting and has no added advertising, analytics scripts, tracking cookies or signup form. Vercel processes ordinary request information to deliver and protect the website. Following an external contact or policy link takes you to that provider, which applies its own privacy practices.
